Job summary

Saco- seeks an experienced Banking Branch Manager to lead the Portland, ME branch, presenting as a professional, building relationships, and driving customer service excellence. You will oversee deposits, cross-sell products, and ensure adherence to policies while coaching staff.

You will manage daily branch operations, supervise in managers' absence, and travel as needed to other locations, delivering high-quality service and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; banking training helpful.
• Previous banking experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to deliver quality work during times of increased volume.
• Operational competency using Microsoft Office suite; Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel and other Windows based applications; comfortable learning new software.
• Commitment to ongoing learning.
• Interacts harmoniously, professionally, cordially and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.
• Ability to read/see documents and computer screens, to communicate in person and via the telephone and to operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Is dependable and conforms to punctuality and attendance standards.
• Able to travel to all bank locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional, courteous and efficient service to all internal and external customers.
• Makes referrals benefiting our customers to our business partners.
• Assists customers in opening accounts, updating information, and resolving issues.
• Explains the range of deposit products and services, including IRAs and HSAs.
• Maintains knowledge of quality control policies and procedures.
• Acts as a liaison between customers and other bank departments.
• Complies with banking regulations and policies.
• Oversees the Branch office when necessary and supervises staff in the absence of management.
• Ensures efficient implementation of customer services according to bank policies.
• Performs miscellaneous duties or special assignments as required.
