HireRight seeks a Consumer Reinvestigations Specialist 1 to process disputes across multiple products while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The role focuses on verifying consumer information, sourcing data, and communicating findings to clients.

You will maintain audit trails, follow SOPs, and collaborate with teams to resolve complex cases in a regulated environment. Strong English communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to collaborate with teammates and communicate clearly in English.
• Maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience reading and interpreting consumer reports and applying FCRA guidance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate case details to determine the validity of the dispute and verify consumer IDs.
• Conduct reinvestigations by identifying sources and communicating dispute details.
• Contact third-party data sources to validate information and support dispute outcomes.
• Apply judgment and follow SOPs to finalize dispute decisions.
• Understand court processes and how records affect reportability.
• Review verification responses for compliance with FCRA and DOT regulations.
• Maintain thorough audit trails of documentation and correspondence.
• Communicate with consumers and clients with tact and professionalism.
• Learn reporting guidelines for public records and motor vehicle products.
