Job summary

HireRight is seeking a Consumer Reinvestigations Specialist 1 (CRS1) to process reinvestigations for multiple products while ensuring strict compliance with federal and state regulations. The role involves case validation, source verification, and thorough documentation to support dispute outcomes.

The CRS1 collaborates with internal teams, maintains audit trails, and communicates with consumers and clients to ensure accurate resolutions. Prior experience in regulated environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate case details to determine the validity of disputes using multiple factors.
• Conduct reinvestigations by identifying sources and verification requirements.
• Contact sources that may impact dispute outcomes and assess information.
• Exercise judgement to finalize dispute outcomes following SOP.
• Develop understanding of court processes that affect reportability.
• Evaluate verification responses for compliance with FCRA regulations.
• Verify authenticity of documentation by contacting sources.
• Communicate with consumers and clients with tact and diplomacy.
• Develop knowledge of reporting guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain audit trails of documentation and letters.
• Assist team members to meet departmental expectations.
