Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Wichita Falls State Hospital is seeking a Therapy Technician III. The RTT provides direct support to therapists, implements treatment plans, and helps train staff to ensure continuity of care.

This role requires a valid Texas driver’s license and the ability to drive a state vehicle if needed. The position is full-time, day shift, with no telework eligibility, and involves working with patients in a psychiatric/rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) months experience working with people who have mental illness or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Experience in development of treatment and support plans preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
• Must pass fingerprint background checks, drug screen, and registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and may rotate shifts.
• Directly implements treatment plans and monitors goals.
• Assists in development and evaluation of treatment plans for the assigned specialty.
• Trains staff to ensure continuity of treatment plan objectives.
• Gathers data and reports progress to the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensures completion of paperwork to meet standards.
