The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Counselor-in-Charge to supervise Rehabilitation Counselors and staff in the Sylva VR/IL Unit, Jackson County. The Counselor-in-Charge (CIC) position is located in the Sylva VR/IL Unit in Jackson County. The CIC will be responsible for organizing and directing the daily supervision of counselors and assigned staff, casework, and providing leadership within the unit. The CIC will assist the Unit Manager with work involving planning, implementing, and evaluating the technical and administrative components of a rehabilitation program consisting of multiple caseloads, third-party programs, and a limited number of specialized rehabilitation programs. The CIC helps shape unit performance through data-informed decision-making, promotes professional development, and fosters a collaborative team environment to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals. This position will provide coverage for a mental health/general caseload.
Salary Range: $48,222.00 - $84,388.00
