The position requires a High School Diploma and BLS certification within 90 days of hire, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS Certification with the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology; bilingual helpful.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard precautions and Northwestern Medicine infection control policies and procedures consistently.
• Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly, cleans equipment according to standards.
• Independently maintains all equipment cleaning logs and performs monthly maintenance.
• Ensures EOC meets JCAHO standards at all times.
• Demonstrates competence in performing tasks identified as appropriate treatment for the Rehab Services Tech. Treats patients under direct clinical supervision and anticipates therapist’s needs during patient care.
• Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care under the discretion of the therapist.
• Provides explanation to patient and family prior to administering care to patients; answers questions within scope of practice.
• Schedules, confirms, and reschedules patients for visits at Rehabilitation Services and its satellite locations.
