ProgressiveHealth is seeking an energetic Rehabilitation Technician to join our outpatient team in Evansville, IN. This PRN role supports therapists, helps create a safe, organized clinic, and delivers excellent patient service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong computer skills. The position offers opportunities for growth and professional development within a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and related experience or training.
  • CPR/BLS certification required or obtainable before start date.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for the shift with lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with basic office software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Monitor patients and support therapists to maintain a safe, efficient clinic environment.
  • Support front office tasks: greeting patients, answering phones, data entry, and record upkeep.
  • Escort patients between locations as needed and keep treatment areas organized.
  • Prepare patients and equipment, manage supplies, and ensure clean work areas.
  • Assist coworkers to maintain a productive, cooperative workflow.

Rehabilitation Technician, Rehab Tech
– ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC – Evansville, IN

We are looking for an energetic Rehab Tech to join our outpatient team. This position contributes to a safe, motivating, and organized clinical environment for our clients and our team of professional therapists. What will you be doing in this role?
  • Assisting with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and/or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease
  • Monitoring the clinic’s patients and supporting the therapist with treatment needs – facilitate a convenient and safe environment while providing excellent customer service
  • Assisting in front office tasks which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, supporting registration, data entry, filing, and patient record upkeep
  • Safeguarding and escorting patients from one location to another, if needed
  • Continually clean and organize treatment areas and equipment
  • Prepare patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies such as fitness equipment and linens
  • Inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Cleaning work areas and equipment before, during, and after shift
  • Facilitating an efficient environment for coworkers

Our ideal candidate would:
  • Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Have a background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology
  • Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it before the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
  • Have the ability to lift, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
