Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking an energetic Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) to join our inpatient therapy team in Benton, IL. This role supports therapists, safeguards patients, and helps maintain a safe, organized clinical environment while delivering quality customer service.

You will assist in front office tasks, prepare treatment areas, and help with data entry and record upkeep, contributing to a professional, efficient team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification or ability to obtain it prior to start; maintain proof of current certifications
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Professionalism in written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer skills; MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries and related conditions.
• Monitor patients and support therapists, ensuring a safe, organized environment and excellent service.
• Greet patients, answer phones, support registration, data entry, filing, and record upkeep.
• Safeguard and escort patients between locations as needed.
• Keep treatment areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Prepare patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies; may include laundry.
• Inventory supplies and equipment.
• Clean work areas and equipment; support coworkers for efficiency.

Rehabilitation Technician, Rehab Tech – ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC – Benton, IL

We are looking for an energetic Rehab Tech to join our inpatient therapy team. This position contributes to a safe, motivating, and organized clinical environment for our clients and our team of professional therapists. What will you be doing in this role?

• Providing assistance with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and/or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease
• Monitoring the clinic’s patients and supporting the therapist with treatment needs – facilitate a convenient and safe environment while providing excellent customer service
• Assisting in front office tasks which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, supporting registration, data entry, filing, and patient record upkeep
• Safeguarding and escorting patients from one location to another, if needed
• Continually clean and organize treatment areas and equipment.
• Prepare patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies such as fitness equipment and linens
  • May do laundry on occasion
• inventory of supplies and equipment
• Cleaning work areas and equipment before, during, and after shift
• Facilitating an efficient environment for coworkers

Our ideal candidate would:

• Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have a background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology
• Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
• Have the ability to left, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
• Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision

The pay for this position starts at $17/hr
