UVM Health - Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Rehab Support Specialist to streamline outpatient scheduling, assist with billing and insurance tasks, and support a smooth patient experience from admission to discharge.

You will serve as a welcoming touchpoint for patients, families, and providers, maintain accurate records, protect patient confidentiality, and collaborate with therapists and staff to ensure high-quality rehabilitation care.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with computers and office software applications.
• Preferred: Associate Degree.
• Preferred: BLS Certification.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of healthcare, medical office, scheduling, billing, or administrative experience.
• Preferred: Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and healthcare billing.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate outpatient therapy scheduling and appointment management.
• Support inpatient and outpatient billing processes.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Serve as a welcoming point of contact for patients, families, providers, and insurance representatives.
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with day-to-day office operations and administrative functions.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and support staff to facilitate excellent patient care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in departmental core accountabilities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and process improvement initiatives.
