Job summary

Riverview Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to help ensure the quality of patient registrations by collecting accurate demographic, clinical, billing and insurance information.

The role involves scheduling patients, maintaining HIPAA compliance, coordinating with insurance for precertifications, and training other Patient Access Associates across Noblesville and Westfield locations in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of customer service or related experience.
• Preferred: three (3) or more years in Patient Access Registration in an acute care hospital or physician office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate patient registrations by collecting complete demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information.
• Schedule patients and clients accurately; multitask with other duties.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient and provider relationships.
• Coordinate with insurance for precertifications and authorizations.
• Train other Patient Access Associates in duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
