Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an COTA to provide direct rehabilitation care under supervision of an OT in a post-acute care setting. The candidate must be NBCOT-certified upon hire, hold an active state license, and maintain CPR certification.

New grads are welcome; one year of experience is preferred. Responsibilities include following OT treatment plans, charting, and collaborating with patients, families, and other departments to plan patient needs.

Qualifications

NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
Currently registered/licensed in applicable state; active license required
One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current during employment

Responsibilities

Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
Follow occupational treatment plans for patients under the direction of the supervising OT
Chart appropriately and timely
Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team
Read, write, speak, and understand English
Maintain confidentiality and follow Life Care policies and Code of Conduct
