Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking an organized patient access/rehabilitation support specialist to coordinate appointment scheduling and admissions. This role supports the Rehabilitation Services Operations team with clerical tasks, data entry, and timely communication to patients and staff.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of office experience, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification before orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; medical secretarial or business program preferred.
• 1 year office experience with keyboarding skills preferred.
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule rehabilitation appointments to optimize capacity and patient access.
• Complete patient admission/registration and related clerical tasks.
• Facilitate insurance preauthorization processes from payors as needed.
• Provide general administrative support to Rehabilitation Services Operations.
