Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in a related field.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential per IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.
• Successfully complete board exam at next available date.
• Education may include content for DNV Hip and Knee Certification.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy.
• Completes annual education as assigned to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Implements intervention plans according to the plan of care and communicates with the medical team.
• Uses standardized outcomes measures to reflect functional performance and ensures accurate documentation.
