Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager, Product Group Engineering for Raynham, MA or West Chester, PA or Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Warsaw, IN or Raritan, NJ. Lead engineers delivering scalable digital and technology solutions supporting DePuy Synthes R&D and product platforms.

You will partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT to translate scientific needs into secure, compliant solutions, driving lifecycle management and operational excellence across regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressive experience in software, systems, or product engineering within regulated or complex technology environments.
• Hands‑on experience with modern software development practices, system integration, and product lifecycle management technologies.
• Working knowledge of SDLC, agile and/or hybrid delivery models, and engineering quality controls.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business and R&D requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, and competing priorities in a matrixed organization.
• Proven people‑management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of product group engineers responsible for delivering technology solutions across R&D and product platforms, ensuring alignment to business and technology strategies.
• Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, including requirements definition, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of product‑aligned technology solutions.
• Partner with Product Management, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT stakeholders to translate business and scientific needs into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions.
• Ensure engineering practices adhere to applicable regulatory, quality, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements relevant to medical technology and R&D environments.
• Drive engineering excellence through standardized processes, design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage delivery commitments, resource planning, budgets, and vendor relationships to meet timelines, cost, and quality objectives.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance management to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership, and proactively manage issues to keep programs on track.
