Job summary

Gusto is seeking a hands-on regulatory compliance professional to own the day-to-day management of Gusto's licensing portfolio, end-to-end across NMLS and non-NMLS states. You will prepare filings, manage renewals, amendments, and examinations, partnering with counsel and cross-functional teams.

You will use AI-enabled workflows to automate filing prep and deadline tracking while maintaining rigorous human review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience in fintech/payments or regulated financial institutions.
• Experience managing money transmission licenses; knowledge of additional license types is a plus.
• Paralegal background preferred, especially regulatory filings and licensing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of licensing portfolio (MTL, state licenses).
• Prepare and file new license applications, amendments, and notices.
• Maintain system of record for licenses, conditions, and deadlines; coordinate renewals.
• Lead quarterly MSB Call Report and state reporting; coordinate with Finance/Treasury.
• Support state and multi-state examinations; manage evidence and findings remediation.
