Job summary

Universal Beauty Products Inc. is seeking a Regulatory Associate to ensure domestic and global regulatory compliance for cosmetic products. You will collaborate with R&D and technical experts to address regulatory issues raised by authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or related field; 1–2 years regulatory experience preferred.
• Understanding of product life cycle, design control and risk management.
• Experience presenting regulatory compliance in cross-functional teams; strong project management.
• Working knowledge of FDA, Health Canada, EPA, OSHA, CARB and EU compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of existing and emerging regulations, standards or guidance documents.
• Support QMS compliance; write/revise SOPs; train groups; review design documents; implement regulatory controls.
• Coordinate and prepare regulatory filings and responses for domestic and international registrations.
• Align product labeling with state and federal regulations under supervision.
• Evaluate regulatory changes to documents, products, processes and tests.
• Manage labeling revision history and translate labeling for international markets.

Job Summary:

The Regulatory Associate serves as a technical resource to meet domestic and global regulatory compliance demands within the cosmetic industry. This role will provide regulatory support for new product introduction and changes to existing products. This role will work with Research and Development and technical experts to resolve potential regulatory issues and questions from regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents; disseminate information as appropriate.
• Support Quality Management System compliance including writing and revising relevant SOPs, training functional groups, design document review, change management, and constructively implementing compliance mechanisms for new regulations and regulatory guidance
• Helps coordinate, support, and author clear and concise regulatory filings and responses for both domestic and international establishment / product registrations.
• Under general supervision, responsible for aligning product labeling content with state and federal regulations.
• Actively participate in evaluating the regulatory compliance of document / product / process / test method changes.
• Manage the revision history of all product labeling and coordinate the translation of approved product labeling into the required languages of international markets while upholding all applicable requirements.
• Coordinator and facilitate communication and collaboration with external partners such as suppliers and contract manufacturers, to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or related field with 1-2 years of regulatory experience in cosmetic, consumer product, pharmaceutical or related filed preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of product life cycle process, design control and/or risk management.
• Demonstrated ability representing regulatory compliance in cross-functional team setting and project management experience
• Working knowledge of laws, regulation, and relevant compliance programs under FDA, Health Canada, EPA, OSHA, CARB and EU Compliant preferred
• Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment with shifting changes in prioritization based on regulatory and business needs.
