Job summary

EOS Products, a leading cosmetics brand based in Cranbury Township, New Jersey, seeks a Regulatory Specialist for an on-site role. You will ensure compliance of products, ingredients, formulations, and labeling with federal, state, and international regulations, and support MoCRA and related registrations.

You will collaborate with R&D, Product Development, Marketing, and Quality to manage regulatory docs, SDS, and labeling changes across domestic and international markets throughout the product

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, preferably within cosmetics, personal care, beauty, or consumer products.
• Experience in managing multiple projects at once with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Support Regulatory Affairs Manager to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Review product formulations, labeling, and marketing claims for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain internal records to support labeling compliance, audits, and inspections.
• Manage regulatory documentation for domestic and international markets.
• Assist with product registrations and reporting requirements, including MoCRA and state programs like California.
• Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining SDS for products.

Job description

The Regulatory Specialist is an on-site role responsible for ensuring that products, ingredients, formulations, and labeling comply with all applicable federal, States, and international regulatory requirements. This role manages regulatory documentation, product registration, product SDS, and supports formula compliance checks. The Regulatory Specialist works cross-functionally with R&D, Product Development, Marketing, and Quality to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance

• Support the Regulatory Affairs Manager in ensuring compliance with applicable industry regulations, standards, and guidelines.
• Review product formulations, labeling, and marketing claims for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate internal records to support labeling compliance, audits, and inspections.

Documentation & Registrations

• Manage raw material coding, including collection, review, and maintenance of regulatory documentation.
• Prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documentation for domestic and international markets.
• Manage product registrations and reporting requirements, including MoCRA and CFFIRKA (California).

Product Safety

• Support the creation, review, and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products.

Regulatory Risk Management

• Contribute to regulatory risk assessments, compliance readiness, and strategic planning initiatives.

Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with R&D, Product Development, Marketing, Quality, and Packaging to support new product development, reformulations, and labeling changes.
• Respond to internal and customer regulatory inquiries by providing accurate and timely product and ingredient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, preferably within the cosmetics, personal care, beauty, or consumer products industry.
• Experience in managing multiple projects at once with good time management
• Ability to lead tasks with minimum supervision
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with research methodologies and scientific terminology is a plus
