Job summary

UC Health’s UC Medical Center in Cincinnati is seeking an Access Representative in Admitting & Registration to support patient intake. You will build Epic accounts from scheduling and collect demographic and insurance details during Pre-Registration.

You will prioritize insurance coverage as primary, secondary, tertiary, ensure accurate documentation, and contribute to timely revenue through quality registration data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in registration, billing, customer service, or managed care preferred.
• Analytical skills; able to problem solve.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and ability to handle adversarial customers.

Responsibilities

• Create Epic accounts from scheduling appointments and obtain demographic and insurance information.
• Answer questions regarding patient appointments or transfer to appropriate department.
• Code Daily Worklist according to standards and ensure documentation alignment.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while following privacy and compliance guidelines.
