Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Registration Specialist who will collect patient demographics and insurance information to support the revenue cycle. This role involves customer service, check-in duties, insurance verification, and accurate data entry in Epic.

Responsibilities include obtaining consent, collecting co-pays, coordinating translation or transportation when needed, and ensuring all documentation is properly scanned and filed across sites.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Six months to one year medical office experience preferred.
• Basic clerical and data entry skills required.
• Preferred knowledge of Epic, Ohio/Kentucky insurance plans, and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and phone coverage during hours of operation.
• Verify patient identity and collect demographics; scan into Epic.
• Verify insurance information and obtain consent and signatures.
• Collect co-pays and post payments in Epic Enterprise Payments.
• Coordinate special needs services (translator, transportation) for patients.
• Process medical records and referrals as needed.
• Additional duties to support registration and revenue cycle.
