Description
- High School Diploma or USA equivalency
- Two years of office experience with a focus on recordkeeping. Experience in maintenance of student records in a public school environment preferred
- Computerized record keeping experience, preferably as a secondary school data person
- Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision and direction
- Oversee issuance of admit and tardy cards, as well as excuses for students leaving school
- Ensure the maintenance of adequate and accurate student records with regard to class schedule, home address, telephone number, and attendance
- Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is essential.
Qualifications
- Oversee proper reporting and recordkeeping related to student attendance and enrollment including transfers, withdrawals, statistical reports, and census cards
- Ensure students, parents, and visitors receive proper assistance regarding enrollment, transfer, attendance, etc.
- Oversee issuance of admit and tardy cards, as well as excuses for students leaving school
- Maintain accurate student records including class schedule, home address, telephone number, and attendance
- Ensure all students have complete cumulative record folders, including transcripts and other records for new students
- Serve as the official record keeper for the campus
- Coordinate with other districts concerning student transfer records
- Plan and schedule tasks considering school priorities and the departmental calendar
- Use computer systems for data transmission, student database inquiries, printed products, and attendance tracking
- Manage student cumulative records using TREx
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
