Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registrar, you will ensure timely, accurate patient registration, interview patients for account info, and verify insurance coverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Interview patients to obtain account info, using carts or computers on wheels for bedside registration.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure charts are complete and accurate.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liabilities.
• Obtain signatures for treatments and other necessary documentation.
• Process patient charts according to workflow and standards.
• Gather demographic and insurance info from patients or responsible parties.
• Assign insurance plans accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and pre-certification status online or via other resources, initiating authorization as needed.
• Secure signatures for treatments, information release, and insurance benefits.
• Understand and explain policies regarding services, pricing, and billing.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
