Job summary

Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists in Loveland, CO is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to support our Surgery and Anesthesia team. You will assist with surgical procedures, prepare ORs, monitor anesthesia, and collaborate with veterinarians and staff.

The position is full-time with competitive hourly pay in the range shown, plus benefits including health, retirement, CE allowances, and pet care discounts.

Qualifications

  • RVT license or active provisional in CO with DORA in progress.
  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary surgery and anesthesia experience.
  • Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood draws and lab work.
  • Solid knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology; commitment to learning.
  • Understanding of OSHA, DEA regulations and Fear Free handling.

Responsibilities

  • Set up surgical instruments and equipment, ensure sterile environment.
  • Monitor anesthesia equipment and patient status during procedures.
  • Assist with patient positioning and restraint as needed.
  • Prepare estimates and discuss treatment plans with clients.
  • Communicate with veterinarians and staff on patient status and care.

Weareseekingaskilledanddetail-orientedSurgeryandAnesthesiaTechniciantosupportour surgical team in delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you will assist with surgical procedures, prepare and maintain operating rooms, and support anesthesia administration before, during, and after surgery.

Key responsibilities include setting up surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization, preparingpatientsforprocedures, monitoring anesthesia equipment, and assisting with patient positioning. You will work closely with our surgeons, technicians, and other clinical and administrative staff to ensure procedures run smoothly and safely.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greetclientswarmlyandweighthepatient. Escorttheclienttoaclean,preparedexamroom.
  • Recognizewhenanincomingpatientrequiresimmediatemedicalattentionandtakeaction.
  • Assistclientswithgettingthepatientfromthecarintothehospitalwhenneeded.
  • Reviewandmakeneededupdatesandcorrectionstopatientandclientinformation.
  • Obtainhistory,radiographs,diagnostictestresultsandanyotherpertinentinformation.
  • Utilizeactivelisteningskills.Discernanypotentialquestionsorconcernsandclearlycommunicatetoanswer,resolvethemproactively. Offerreassurancetodistresscalls.
  • Knowledgeablyanswerquestionsabouthospitalservicesandfees.
  • Promptlyrefermorespecificorin-depthquestionstotheappropriateveterinarianorstaffmember.
