Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician at Purple Paws Pet Clinic in Coronado, CA. In this clinical leadership role, you will work at the top of your license, performing anesthesia, dentistry and diagnostics while mentoring assistants and externs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California RVT license.
• Experience in a small animal practice preferred.
• Ability to lead clinical teams and mentor assistants.

Responsibilities

We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as in house ultrasound.Your Role – Clinical Driver & LeaderAs a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.You will primarily utilize your skills in:Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.Growth & ScheduleGrowth Paths: Your career interests guide your path!
