Job summary

Destination Pet is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to work at Church Ranch Veterinary Center in Westminster. You will operate at the top of your license, performing anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics and nursing duties while providing compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia and analgesia with multimodal strategies.
• Perform dentistry procedures including radiography and charting.
• Conduct diagnostics including in-house lab work and sample collection.
• Handle nursing/triage and monitor patients closely.
• Lead tech appointments, mentor assistants and externs.

Church Ranch Veterinary Center – A Look Inside

We are a well-established, full-service small animal hospital with a legacy of excellence in Westminster. Our state-of-the-art facility features eight dedicated DVMs and a passionate support team committed to the highest standards of care. We are dedicated to staying current with the latest advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness. We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as an in-house IDEXX laboratory and diagnostic ultrasonography.

Your Role – Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently. You will primarily utilize your skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.


• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).


• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.


• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.


• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.

Schedule: Full-time with flexible scheduling options (choose 4 ten-hour or 5 eight-hour shifts) and a predictable weekend rotation.
