Job summary

Destination Pet's Westminster practice is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join a small-animal hospital team. You’ll work at the top of your license in a collaborative, client-centered environment with transparent pay and a defined career ladder.

Must hold a Colorado RVT license. The role offers competitive wages ($28.00–$32.00/hr) plus a skills-based differential, CE allowance, PTO, health/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
  • Ability to work at the top of your license and lead clinical care.

Responsibilities

  • Anesthesia & analgesia: IV catheterization, pain management, induction, and monitoring.
  • Dentistry: full-mouth dental radiography, charting, periodontal therapy.
  • Diagnostics: in-house labs, radiography, sample collection.
  • Nursing & triage: patient monitoring, wound care, catheter/feeding tube management.
  • Workflow leadership: lead tech appointments, team huddles, mentoring assistants/externs.

Our state-of-the-art facility features eight dedicated DVMs and a passionate support team committed to the highest standards of care. We are dedicated to staying current with the latest advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness. We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as an in-house IDEXX laboratory and diagnostic ultrasonography.

Your Role - Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.

  • Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
  • Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
  • Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
  • Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
  • Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
