Silverado Veterinary Hospital in Napa, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team supporting inpatient hospital care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

This role balances nursing, client communication, and hands-on procedural support, and requires credentialed technicians with clinical knowledge and strong communication for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, anesthesia, surgical assistance, dental prophylaxis and radiography.
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement and radiology safety.
• Medication administration and in-house diagnostic testing.
• Strong teamwork and professional communication skills.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing or out-of-state license transfer are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care, monitor hospitalized patients, administer meds and IV fluids.
• Support anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Assist with surgical procedures, including prep and instrument handling.
• Perform dental procedures, prophylaxis and radiography, with extractions preferred.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Support case management and education to strengthen client relationships.
