Job summary
Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry, in a dynamic general practice near Sacramento. The ideal candidate is versatile, client‑focused, and capable of balancing exam room care with hands‑on procedures.
You will contribute to high standards of care across patient visits, assisting with anesthesia, dental work, and daily workflows while communicating
Qualifications
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good‑standing Registered Veterinary Technician in California
- Familiarity with Cornerstone software; Fear Free Certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Coordinate surgical and dental procedure schedules
- Calculate and prepare anesthetic medications and drug dosages
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
- Monitor patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
- Guide clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
