Job summary

Adobe Animal Hospital in Petaluma is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services including surgery and dentistry. This role requires versatility, client focus, and the ability to move between exam room and procedure support to uphold high standards of patient care.

The position offers a full-time 4/10 schedule with Tue-Fri availability, a compensation range of $30-$36 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in California.
• Proficiency in anesthesia, surgical support, dental radiography, venipuncture, and client education.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, surgical support, and post-operative care
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
