Petco in Durham, NC seeks a Veterinary Technician to join our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital team. You will support veterinarians with routine and emergency care, perform clinical duties, and ensure exceptional client and patient experiences.

The role requires compassionate patient care, strong communication, and teamwork under supervision of veterinarians and hospital leadership. Training and ongoing professional growth are emphasized within a collaborative Petco environment.

Formación

• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician as required by state.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional disposition under stressful situations.
• Telephone and computer skills essential.

Responsabilidades

• Greet clients and patients and escort to exam rooms, recording vitals and history in EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgeries, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, and dispense medications as directed.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, manage inventory and records, and assist with accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia and recovery, and assist with discharge or transfer to overnight care.
