Petco is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support Vetco Total Care full-service hospital patients and provide exceptional customer care to owners. You will help ensure high-quality patient care, assist veterinarians, and support the hospital team in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate patient handling, and adherence to hospital protocols to deliver an outstanding experience for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where the hospital is located.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
• Proficient with telephone and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, take vitals, record history in EMR.
• Assist veterinarian during appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Restrain patients, process lab samples, dispense medications, and maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, and manage records.
