Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and professional under stress.
• Telephone and computer skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, and document patient history.
• Assist veterinarian with exams, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Restrain patients, obtain samples, handle medications, and maintain medical records.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, manage inventory and records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anesthesia; assist with discharge.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and patient care as directed by veterinarian.
• Participate in training of new staff and knowledge sharing.
• Keep hospital environment neat and maintain schedule-based upkeep.
