Job description

As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed, ensuring a balance between patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow. You will also provide an excellent service experience for patients.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with flexibility to work at our Archer, Belmont Ave., and Orland Park clinic locations.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create a Venous Flow Map for treatment planning.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs.
3. Set up and clean procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
4. Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the physician's treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
5. Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
6. Collaborate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining patient care quality.
7. Maintain high standards of work and skills through continued education and interaction with colleagues.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure smooth operations.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate of Completion from an accredited ultrasound program (required).
• Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT/RVS/RpHS) (required).
• Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively as part of a team.
