Job description

Job Title: Registered Vascular Technologist

We are seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist to perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed. The role involves balancing patient needs with efficient workflow and ensuring an excellent service experience for patients.

Position Details

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with flexible work locations at our clinics in Naperville, Plainfield, Orland Park, and Frankfort.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps for treatment planning.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs.
3. Set up and clean procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
4. Perform additional ultrasound exams as required by the physician's treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
5. Adhere to scheduled time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
6. Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and patient safety.
7. Maintain high standards of work quality and skills through continued education and collaboration with other technologists.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventories to ensure operational effectiveness.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Certificate of Completion from an accredited ultrasound program.
2. Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT/RVS/RpHS), required within 90 days of hire.
3. Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively as part of a team.
