Job description

Job Title: Registered Vascular Technologist

As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed, ensuring excellent patient service and efficient workflow across our clinics in Gurnee, Schaumburg, Skokie, Northbrook, and Elmwood Park.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps for treatment planning.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
3. Prepare and clean procedure and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
4. Conduct additional ultrasound exams as required to ensure safety and effectiveness of treatments.
5. Manage time effectively to maintain smooth patient flow.
6. Coordinate with staff and physicians to ensure adequate ultrasound technician availability and optimal patient care.
7. Maintain and develop skills through continued education and professional interaction.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventories to ensure operational efficiency.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program (Required).
2. Registration as a Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT/RVS/RpHS), required within 90 days of hire.
3. Strong patient care skills and cultural sensitivity.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
5. Proficiency in multitasking, prioritization, and teamwork.
