As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities (and other studies as needed), balancing patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow. You will also ensure that patients have an excellent service experience.

This position works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Gurnee clinic, Thursday at Mundelein, and Tuesday at Elk Grove clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations of patients to create a Venous Flow Map for recommending safe, effective treatment plans.
• Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients and how these plans address their specific needs.
• Set up and clean up procedure rooms, exam rooms, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
• Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the treatment plan to ensure effectiveness and safety.
• Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain an efficient patient flow.
• Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining productivity.
• Develop and maintain high-quality work and skills through continued education and interaction with other ultrasound technologists.
• Maintain equipment and manage supply inventory for smooth operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program (Required).
• Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), or ability to earn certification within 90 days of hire (Required).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively as part of a team.
