Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

Job description

As an Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed. Your role involves balancing patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow while ensuring an excellent service experience for patients.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work at our Archer, Belmont Ave., and Orland Park clinic locations.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps for treatment planning.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs.
3. Set up and clean exam and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
4. Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the physician's treatment plan, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
5. Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
6. Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining a productive patient load.
7. Maintain and develop skills through continued education and interaction with colleagues to meet care standards.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure operational effectiveness.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
2. Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS).
3. Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
4. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team.
