Qualifikationen

• Must have graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP/PAALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience preferred (new grads welcome).

Aufgaben

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, spirometry, airway maintenance and chest physiotherapy.
• Conduct prescribed cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures: ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECGs.
• Prepare treatments based on bedside assessment and patient records.
• Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate actions.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data.
• Assemble and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Assist with infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work areas.
• Utilize patient scripting to improve satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
