Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, including diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients on mechanical ventilation, in accordance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing patient assessments and diagnostic procedures.
2. Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen and aerosol medications.
3. Assisting with airway placement and managing mechanical ventilation.
4. Monitoring patient responses and intervening as needed.
5. Transporting ventilator-dependent patients and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 months of start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 months.
• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner certification.
• Associate Degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or BCLS Instructor within 30 days.
• Neonate Resuscitation or STABLE certification within 60 months.
