Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Full Time 3p-3a

Join to apply for the Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Full Time 3p-3a role at The Valley Health System.

Responsibilities
  1. Performs all aspects of Respiratory Care under limited supervision of a Critical Care Therapist or Respiratory Supervisor on patients of all ages with a high degree of skill, quality, and accuracy.
  2. Ensures all Respiratory Care procedures are provided to properly identified patients according to MMH policy and procedures.
  3. Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA regulations with all patients.
  4. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrates advanced customer service skills.
  5. Prior Pulmonary Function Tech experience, working with patients requiring oversight for our Pulmonary Service line.
  6. Communicates effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care program or equivalent.
  • Registered by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Licensed by the Florida Department of Health, Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • NRP required for NICU work.
  • ACLS preferred.
