United Hospital Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Level I to provide evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients on a 36-hour weekly schedule in Bridgeport, WV. The role requires state licensing and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities include initiating and maintaining ventilation, equipment troubleshooting, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Formación

• Licensed respiratory therapist by the applicable state where services will be performed.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic and advanced respiratory therapies for neonatal to geriatric patients as ordered by the physician.
• Assembles, checks, and troubleshoots respiratory care equipment and performs quality controls.
• Initiates and manages mechanical ventilation for patients as ordered.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Educates patients and families as part of care and discharge planning.
• Participates in department quality assurance and hospital performance improvement activities.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as ordered and maintains clinical competencies.
• Demonstrates ability to meet department competencies.
