Job summary

United Hospital Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Level I to provide evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients. The role includes administering prescribed respiratory services and working within the department's scope and level ladder to support neonatal through geriatric care.

The position requires state licensure as a respiratory therapist, BLS certification within 30 days, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed RT in the applicable state.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• MD/Ohio/PA/ WV licensure as respiratory therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced respiratory therapies for neonatal to geriatric patients by physician order.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment and quality controls.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation for patients across age groups.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for patient care and education.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Complete departmental competencies and stay clinically current.
