United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate and care for patients requiring respiratory therapy services. You will administer prescribed respiratory therapies and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires WV licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, and may involve ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE credentials. Experience and state certifications enhance candidacy.

Formación

• WV license as Respiratory Therapist (LRTC or LRTR)
• MD: Respiratory Care Practitioner through Maryland Board of Physicians
• OH: Respiratory Care Professional through Ohio Board of Medicine
• PA: Respiratory Therapist through Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine
• WV: LRTC or LRTR from WV Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS within 30 days of hire date
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, POC Technician per WV DHHR

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic and advanced therapeutic procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients by order of the physician
• Assembles, checks, and corrects malfunctions and performs quality controls on respiratory care equipment
• Initiates, maintains, and discontinuates mechanical ventilation for diverse patient groups
• Communicates with the healthcare team regarding patient care
• Provides education to patients and families with the care team
• Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Maintains clinical and professional competency per standards
