Job summary

Mercy in The Village, OK is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapy areas per physician orders. You will discuss therapy effectiveness with physicians and serve as a key resource for medical staff.

Requirements include graduation from a COARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS is preferred; PALS may apply for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. For ER staff, PALS is required.
• ACLS is preferred.
• Critical care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
