Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders. You will consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.

As an integral team member, you will perform duties as assigned. Qualifications include graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and PALS for ER as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for coworkers in the Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
