Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); PALS may be required for ER staff.
• Other: Physical demands including push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs; pinch to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Preferred Education: ACLS
• Preferred Experience: Prior critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
