Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. You will serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care and perform duties as assigned.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, active RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
