Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in all respiratory therapy aspects per physician orders. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP licensure and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). PALS is required for ER staff; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC.
• PALS required for ER staff.
• ACLS and other certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Performs duties as assigned.
