Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in respiratory services and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. You will act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff, performing duties as assigned and supporting patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration within Mercy’s care teams, compliance with licensure requirements, and use of respiratory care devices to deliver high-quality care across patient populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• ACLS and PALS as applicable for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
