Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care across respiratory services per physician orders. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and act as a key resource for physicians and nursing staff. The role includes a 36-hour week shift and a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid in four installments.

Required: CoARC-approved RAC program graduate, RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential; PALS for ER staff; ACLS preferred and critical care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For ER coworkers, PALS is required.
• Other: ACLS preferred; Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
