Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care under physician orders, consult on therapy effectiveness, and act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires graduation from a COARC-approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential.

ACLS is preferred for this role, with a preference for critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC; PALS for ER if required.
• ACLS preferred; experience in critical care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy and act as a resource to nursing staff.
